Weekly roundup: This ‘n’ that
In a Philanthropy New York blog post, Betsy Richards writes why stories help “super-power” social-change efforts. Betsy is director of creative strategies at the Opportunity Agenda, and a former program officer at the Ford Foundation. She quotes cultural anthropologist Clifford Geertz as saying that we each exist as “an animal suspended in webs of significance he himself has spun.” (Read more about Betsy and the Opportunity Agenda in the pop culture chapter of our storytelling guide, and other chapters.)
Theatre of the Oppressed trainings are offered on a regular basis by TOPLAB, the Theatre of the Oppressed Laboratory. No workshops are listed for the near future, but stay tuned! Read more about the Theatre of the Oppressed method in this chapter of our storytelling guide.
