Next week! TONYC’s “Legislative Theatre Festival”

MAY 4-5 — Gripping stories! Great theater! A chance to get on-stage! All free.

If you’re in New York City anytime May 4-7, we highly recommend you attend the Legislative Theatre Festival, which is organized by Theatre of the Oppressed NYC.

On May 4-5 at the Festival, you’ll watch original plays based on the actors’ experiences of discrimination in New York City. You’ll act onstage alongside the actors to offer alternative responses to these systemic problems. And you’ll submit ideas to representatives from city and federal governments, and then vote to carry these ideas forward to their respective chambers.

May 6-7 at the Festival, there’s a “policy summit” (space limited) and workshops on Theatre of the Oppressed method.
