Mark your calendars for Breathing Lights! This October and November, “Breathing Lights” will illuminate the windows of hundreds of vacant buildings in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, New York, mimicking the rhythm of human breathing. Selected public art projects will accompany the Breathing Lights, telling the stories of communities and neighborhoods. Among the chosen artists are our friends Rachel Falcone and Michael Premo, of Housing is a Human Right!

Virtual reality by charity: water. From August 8-28, the clean-water organization charity: water is holding its biggest public event to date, a virtual reality film being shown in NYC. This isn’t your typical film screening, as each viewer wears goggles individually to roam around the virtual space in the film. They’re inviting people to apply to volunteer on location, at Brookfield Place in downtown NYC.
