Weekly roundup: Legislative Theatre, Digital Story Challenge, more

The 2016 Legislative Theatre Festival happens this May 4-5 in New York City. Organized by Theatre of the Oppressed NYC, the festival features short plays by LGBTQ youth about their experiences with housing; audience members can step into the plays and suggest alternative courses of action, and suggest and vote on policy proposals generated during the festival. The TechSoup Digital Storytelling Challenge is accepting submissions for best nonprofit stories, now through May 31st. Sponsored by TechSoup, the challenge awards a total of $7,000 in prizes for best nonprofit digital stories in four categories.
