Black Man, Running

BMR 00 photo and title“Black Man, Running” is a series of performances and public runs (as in a jog or a footrace) that address issues of race, public space, safety and democracy. We’re organizing three runs in different U.S. cities, each of which will be part of a whole “package” of story-gathering and community dialogues. We’ll be creating a template that other communities can use to produce “Black Man, Running” events in their own communities, and we expect to be the resource center for upwards of 25 runs nationwide.
